The Reprintery

Est. 2023 Portland, Oregon

Finding a true collaborator is a rare and wonderful experience—the kind where everything just clicks, and the process flows effortlessly. That’s exactly what it’s like when we team up on a project. Our strengths naturally complement each other, creating a seamless connection from the very start. We speak the same creative language, which isn’t always easy to find in collaborative work. That instant, effortless bond sparked our ongoing partnership, and we both knew it was something worth nurturing beyond just the first project.

The Reprintery emerged from a creative partnership between friends Michelle Freedman and Charlotte Flory. We combine the artistry of traditional printmaking with the craftsmanship of quilting and the sustainability of repurposing and sewing upcycled textiles. By blending our diverse backgrounds in design and art, we explore the intersection of creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Through the reimagining of discarded fabrics—whether through print, deconstruction, or the art of quilting—we breathe new life into materials that would otherwise go to waste. In doing so, The Reprintery challenges the boundaries between art and design, quilting and printmaking, fine art and fiber art.

Our work has been featured in Uppercase Magazine and showcased at Portland Textile Month and Well Well Projects. It’s been celebrated for its creativity, joyful energy, and optimism about what the future holds.

As we continue to explore new ways to express our vision and expand our collaborations, we also share our knowledge and passion through lectures and workshops. We are committed to inspiring and empowering others in the creative community, spreading the joy of our craft far and wide.
